DSD Diplomas presented
Eleven students from grade 9 received their German Language Diplomas (DSD I) at the end of September. DSH Headmaster Siglinde Hailer and German teacher Constance Bashta ceremoniously presented the diplomas to the children in the school’s music hall. Nadine Ismail received special praise. She made the best DSD graduation.
The DSD I certifies students’ German language skills at B1 level and is the first step on the path to studying in Germany. While the DSD I diploma allows students to take vocational training courses abroad, the DSD 2 diploma, which builds on the DSD I, gives students the necessary qualification to study at a German university. Students at the German School Hurghada automatically achieve this second part of the DSD in the higher grades.
