Sharing the idea of Christmas
Christmas is the celebration of love. Whenever we give joy to others, we also share the idea of Christmas. Giving joy, getting together with others and celebrating Christmas – that’s what the “Christmas in a box” project is all about. For the second year in a row, DSH once again organized its charity project.
Students and parents together packed “Christmas boxes” for children from other schools in Hurghada. The boxes contained pencils and notebooks, but also sweets and toys. The gift boxes were decorated for Christmas by the children of the DSH preschool.
In mid-December, a delegation from the German School led by Sahar Farouk, head of the Egyptian department, delivered the gift boxes. The first stop of the bus with the gifts was at the El Sameia School for the Deaf. Here, the delegation got a glimpse of the students’ lessons as well as their handicraft skills. Afterwards, the delegation visited El Shahab government school. Here too, the DSH visitors distributed the gift boxes as well as fruits to the students of different grades. Official representatives of the Egyptian Ministry of Education accompanied the action and thanked the DSH for its commitment.
