Carnival at the DSH – that means first of all lots of fun for everybody! Starting from the morning in nursery and pre school until after school for the older students everybody had a good time with dancing, fancy costumes and of course our annual parade. Thanks to the parents board for organising the afternoon program and the CC Red Sea for the great cooperation!
We had the great honor of the visit of the ambassador of Germany, H.E. Julius Luy, as well as the governor of the Red Sea, General Ahmed Abdallah. Mr. Luy was accompanied by Mr. Simon Brombeiss, responsible of the cultural department of the German Embassy in Cairo as well as Mr. Carsten Treuber from the ZfA office in Cairo. After a welcome speech to all school community, the ambassador was let by the students through the decorated rooms under the topic of the project week “expedition into the world of senses”, which were reflecting the variety of our school education.
Our Christmas concert at the Siva was a great experience again. After the greeting, an Egyptian nativity scene was performed. At the end of this game, signs with “love” in all languages were shown. The kindergarten opened the presentation of all students. Each class introduced a piece. A varied repertoire from contemplative to groovy. Motivated “singer” and an enthusiastic public have enjoyed it very much

Our project regarding ‘solidarity at schools’ At the beginning of the current school year three groups of Form 8 prepared in their French lessons a presentation on the topic “Harassment at schools”, dealt with in Unit 5 of text book. Last day before holidays it was scary in our school……it was halloween! The children of nursery and pre school celebrated in the morning, with dances and funny cakes, the children of primary up to class 5 had a great party in the afternoon. Big fun for everybody!

The school year began as scheduled on 05.09.2017 – a warm welcome from our team 2017!
On 10.09.2017 our year-old schooling took place. On the lovingly decorated stage our second graders greeted the new 13 students for the first class, parents and guests. Our headmaster, Mr Streb, and Madame Sahar, head of the Department of the Egyptian Department, gave a short speech before the class 6 sponsors handed over the traditional school bags to the first years. Afterwards, the pupils went with their parents to the classroom, where some memorable photos were shot. After that the “seriousness of life” began – the first teaching unit with class teacher Sabine Stollberger.
